7 actions to avoid blowing a gasket

If you're a woman and you're reading this, congratulations, because you dared take 5 minutes in your crazy schedule to look for answers.

Always running is not a cliché for many women, work, children, house, partner isn't a myth, it's reality. In my work, I see so many fraught women on the verge of a burnout, running after life while life runs away from them.

So you there, reading this, understand one thing, you are not superwoman and you don't have to do so much. "If I don't do it, who will then ?" you ask. My answer is simple, " someone else or no one, you just have to let it go. "

The trouble today is that we don't have time to listen to the good advice from our elders, women who have known physical and emotional overload. We think we can manage everything until the day our mind or body shows us otherwise. When you are curled up in a ball at the bottom of your bed, unable to get up or hold a conversation, you may regret ignoring the signs.

  1. Reading books, if you make time, is a good start enabling you to escape or even evolve, learning new life lessons and taking your mind off everyday routine.

  2. Booking a 'girly' slot in your diary (or with your best friend) at least once a month or even once a week. It can be just an hour or two, but venting to someone who is experiencing the same thing is quite therapeutic. Sure, it doesn't solve any problems, but " a problem shared.." and all that is a form of liberation.

  3. Listening to music, whether it be Pachelbel's Canon, renowned for its therapeutic frequencies at 432 Hz or music from your youth, reminding you of the "good old days," because music heals the soul.

  4. Dancing, this goes with music, creating movement in the body, even when tired, gives you a different kind of energy and frees up your mind. Crazy dancing in front of a mirror helps you free yourself from the image of the woman who can handle everything all at once.

  5. Asking, for help from time to time, is not a luxury nor a sign of weakness (who still believes that ?) You put yourself under too much pressure and don't forget, the more you do, the more you will be asked. This applies as much to work situations as in the home.

  6. Stop excusism, yes certain jobs won't be as well done, but if you manage to let them go, you will end up accepting and will even take pleasure delegating.

  7. Taking, instead of always giving. You'll be less appreciated ? No you won't. You'll be less loved ? Of course not. So what are you waiting for ?

As a last resort (smile), if you really don't have the strength or motivation to change your habits, there is always Délassa. PHOTOtherapy is an original and simple way of finally ridding yourself of old memories which still haunt you and stop you from seeing clearly in your present life.

A 30-minute complementary call is a good way of deciding how to make that change towards a better life. Click here to book your call. This call is in no way a commitment from you, I, however, am committed to guiding you towards the light.

Warmest thoughts, Alison
